In fact, you’ll find them right here! We take the raw sounds of the world’s musical zoo (a cacophony of cackles, squawks, grunts and howls), filter them through such noted animal interpreters as Josquin, Weelkes, Janequin, Tchaikovsky, Hindemith, Barber, Tavener and of course the Beatles, and wrangle them into a concert of concordant delight. Ola Gjeilo’s Unicornis captivatur – a playful modern take on a mad mediaeval manuscript – is a highlight. A beastly concert, but also quite heavenly.
