We gave this astounding work what we think was its Southern Hemisphere première just last year, but many have told us they already want to go on the pilgrimage again. It’s Joby Talbot’s spellbinding, hour-long depiction in music of the famous Camino ‘walk’, that takes us from Roncesvalles in the Pyrenees to the legendary resting place of St James – Santiago de Compostela near the Spanish coast. Path of Miracles has been described as “a musical miracle” and even as the finest choral work of the 21st century thus far. A chance to experience it once more, or for the first time, in another lovely and appropriate venue.
